The Challenge

Hickory Bluff Berry Farm is a family-owned farm in Holly Hill, South Carolina, offering fresh produce, U-pick opportunities, farm tours, and family-friendly seasonal experiences. The farm needed a more modern online presence that made it easier for local customers and visitors to understand what was available and plan a visit.

Its existing digital presence also needed greater consistency. Hickory Bluff wanted its website and social media channels to better reflect the personality of the farm while improving visibility for seasonal offerings and agritourism activities.

The Solution

Team EMILY designed and launched a new user-friendly website built around the information visitors need most, including seasonal produce, farm activities, and contact information.

SEO best practices were incorporated through an accessibility plug-in that keeps the site compliant with international legislation and standards (ADA, WCAG 2.1, Section 508 & EN 301549).

Team EMILY also refined the farm’s existing social media presence by updating profile information, improving visual consistency, and aligning messaging more closely with the farm’s brand and customer experience. Together, the website and social media improvements created a more cohesive digital presence for communicating with the local community.

The Impact

Hickory Bluff Berry Farm gained a professional digital foundation that better supports both its produce business and agritourism experiences.

The new website gives customers a clearer way to learn about seasonal offerings and farm activities. Refined social media profiles also provide a more consistent and recognizable presence for promoting U-pick seasons, events, and other farm updates.

Together, these improvements give Hickory Bluff a stronger way to stay connected with its community and encourage more families and visitors to experience the farm year-round.
